  2. This is a great article on a simple and inexpensive vitamin that we all need daily. I can definitely say without a shadow of a doubt that vitamin C is a great protector of our cells. One reason why I rarely get sick is because I take in vitamin C multiple times everyday.from supplements, fruits, veggies and juice.

    I often tell people how vital vitamin C is for their health by giving them a visual example. I tell them that the air we breathe is oxidizing our cells and making these cells become free radicals which can harm the body. I then ask them, what happens to an apple after you slice it? It eventually turns brown. The air we breathe oxidizes the inner apple.

    Then I ask them, why is it that you can buy sliced apples in a package at the store and they are not brown? Normally they cannot answer because they do not know what food manufacturers do to prevent oxidation. I then tell them that after the apples are sliced they are immediately sprayed with a vitamin C liquid that protects the apple slices.

    So by us taking in vitamin C everyday we can help protect our cells from becoming oxidized and then becoming free radicals. Some of those free radicals will become cancer cells but with an abundant amount of vitamin C in the body, the immune system has more than enough help to get rid of those cancerous cells before they do any harm.

    • Hey Robert; thanks for your comment. It looks like you love science as I do. People generally ask me, how I know these things. I always answer, by saying in the same way my body is longing for the necessary nutrients is the similar way I an hungry for knowledge. So I do some search for it.

      Vitamin C is easy to get the only issue is that some of us do not know its value. I found it necessary for all to know the foods that contained the vitamin that supplies the body’s daily need.
