The Immune system is a complex combination of cells, processes, and chemicals that constantly defends the body against the invasion of pathogens which includes viruses, bacteria and toxins.

Like any other system in the body, the Immune system is boosted by the foods we ate. Research reveals that some vitamins, herbs, minerals, and other substances if consumed, will boost the immune system and potentially protect against illness.

Without having qualified proof about food supplements, I would not recommend a supplement for the cure of any virus infection, as it might counteract any medication you given by your medical practitioner. Note though, Vitamins, and Minerals are known to boost the immune system as well as ensuring wellbeing to the whole body.

    Enjoyed reading about the immune system. I use elderberry everyday and it has helped keep me form getting the flu when my entire family had it. It also kept me from getting sick way less often. I did read that Elderberry does not help fight agains COVID but makes it worse. Have you done any research on that?

    • Hey Jordan; thanks for your comment. Elderberry, as well as some other fruits, is good for the Immune system because of the nutrient it contains.

  2. It is very crucial that our immune systems are in good condition. Too strong and it work against you. Too weak and you will have all sorts of infections. We need it to be just in the middle. Unfortunately, people who get sick are either on prescribed medicines that lower their immune system to fight infections and lack of a healthy diet, including lack of exercising. Is this supplement plant based and Non-GMO?
