Multivitamin and Minerals

Multivitamins and Minerals when taken adequate proportions can in lowering the risk of heart disease. Research has shown that many people has fallen short of adequate consumption of whole foods which is the main source of nutrients.

The action provides a good point of entry for food supplements to be introduced as a make up for unhealthy food consumption. Even people with healthy eating habits might find it needful to take some kinds of food supplements as some of the healthy foods and vegetables might not be available to their reach.

Coenzyme Q10 (CO Q 10)

Coenzyme Q10 (COQ 10) is a potent part of every body cell. The body naturally produces CO Q 10, which the cells use in the production energy for cell growth and maintenance. COQ 10 is also a functional anti-oxidant that protect the body from harmful molecular damage.

CO Q 10 is found in small amounts in many varieties of foods. With a higher level in animal organs. Such as meats, Liver, Kidneys, Meats, Beef, as well as in soy oil, Peanuts, Mackerel and Sardines.

Coenzyme assesses enzyme to work to help protect the heart and skeletal muscles. CO Q 10 is also helpful in preventing heart failure. Combined with exercise CO Q 10 boost energy and speed up recovery. People are taking CO Q 10 to help them reduce the ill-effect some medicine can have on the heart.

Food is a rich source of Fiber. It is important for you to eat fiber-rich-foods in your diet. You might want to choose a fiber supplement as well, if you do ensure to get one that include both soluble and insoluble Fiber.

Psyllium fiber may help to lower high cholesterol when combined use with a diet low in cholesterol and saturated fats. Fiber can be most effective when used in conjunction with diet and exercise it will contribute to weight loss.

Omega-3 fatty acid

Omega 3 Polyunsaturated fatty acids are found in oil from certain types of fish and vegetables. Fatty acids are not made by the body, they must be consumed in the diet or through supplements.  And hardening of the arteries.

Mainly fish oil. Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids work by lowering the production of triglycerides. High levels of triglycerides can lead to coronary artery disease and stroke. Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids use together with diet and exercise help lower triglyceride levels in the blood.

Supplements with fish oil resulted in a statistically significant decrease in the number of patients who were hospitalized or died for cardiovascular reasons, in another trial, supplementation improves heart functions and decrease the number of hospitalization and deaths.

A prediction of heart disease can be made when the magnesium level is low. Research has shown low magnesium has been linked with cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, arterial plaque built up calcification of soft tissue, cholesterol and hardening of the arteries.

There are many kinds of magnesium and mineral combinations such as: magnesium citrate, Magnesium gluconate, Magnesium hydroxide and also the popular form magnesium sulfate is being commonly known as Epsom salt. This is the one that is used in bath and foot soak for sore and tired muscles.

  1. Does Nutrition Require Foods Supplements? Good question: 50 years ago, probably not. Nowadays, definitely Yes. The food is not processed the same (less organically grown food access our markets on a daily basis), we can’t digest it as our grandparents did (our bodies are intoxicated and our capacity to absorb nutrients and vitamins is lower than never before) and we are exposed to levels of pollution in water and air in levels also without any precedence.

The conditions have changed, we have changed and so the way we should eat. Thanks for sharing a great selection on what has become part of our daily lives, if we care for our health and the health of those we love.

    • Hey Juan; thanks for your comment. Our grandparents were strong healthy people. And one reason for this: is they knew how to appreciate what was available to them and make the best of available stuff.

However, the breakdown must start from among them, where the artificial stuff takes precedence over natural things to include the foods we eat.

  2. Thank you for this fantastic information! I did not know about garlic reducing the ability of blood to clot; no doctor ever warned me about that before surgery. I have never cared for the flavor of tea and everyone recommends green tea or black tea for all sorts of health issues. As much as I hate pills, I wonder if there are any green tea capsules for people who can’t abide the tea flavor. I want to check out that book you showed, The New Fat Flush Plan.

    • Hey Cathy; thanks for your comment. Whilst there may be Green tea supplements you might not find it under the name green tea as people have their way of adding flavor to everything to catch buyers’ attention. However, you should read the book.

  3. I can certainly say that garlic plays a huge part in someone’s health, especially when it regards their hearts functionality. My grandma suffers from high blood pressure and every time she feels her heart start to beat a little bit faster than usual she immediately takes a garlic bite. It doesn’t necessary have to be garlic supplements, but actually taking a bite out of a garlic can significantly improve your hearts health.

    • Hey Stephenie; thanks for your comment. I think supplements play a significant role in many people’s lives because they do not know the natural things that put together to make these foods supplements.

And for those of us who know, it is the popularity of the supplements that caused us to know.

Because we have forgotten all about minerals and vitamins and the role they play in our diet so we left off eating the best foods and become weak and sickly

  4. Hello Dorcas, thank you for taking out your time to share this helpful post to show if nutrition requires food supplements. I have had a lot about supplements and it is nice to see that we can get the required quantities of nutrition we need for better health from our regular meal. It’s a matter of knowing what to eat at the right time. I personally love garlic, I use it most of the times for my dishes. I have heard so much about green tea and I am considering having it as a regular tea. Thanks for the tips and advice.

    Regards!

    • Hello MrBiizy; thanks for your comment. You are right, the nutrients that are in food supplements come from the food if we include these foods in our diet we have no need for the supplements.

However, our people are becoming sick because of a lack of knowledge. some people give more attention to the outward look of their makeup face than the necessary nutrients for their body

  5. these are some great supplements that you should take if you want to improve your overall health but they must be natural supplements. I actually made my own website on natural supplements for the most part. I know that garlic and green tea has helped me overall. Which of these is your favorite supplement?

    • Hello Jon; thanks for your comment. Many people are using Garlic for many reasons I use one clove in my soup as well as to add to home-made meat seasoning Occasionally I drink green tea. Some people drink green tea for weight loss.

  6. I have been taking supplements for more than 30 years now. They have helped me to not just stay, look and feel younger than my age of 57, but they have also helped to cure me of various illnesses from the common cold to cancer. Yes, you read that correctly. There are specific supplements that can contribute to the healing of cancer in a synergistic way, three which you mention here in this post.

When I had cancer in 2000/2001 my doctor at that time was an ND (Naturopathic Doctor) and he told me that cancer can be effectively treated using targeted supplements that enhance the immune system and strengthen the heart at the same time. These therapies have been used quite successfully for many many years in Eastern Medicine. I used 7 specific types which included CoQ10, Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids and Green Tea.

Though my cancer was totally gone in about a years time after changing my diet and lifestyle habits as well as taking these 7 specific supplements, I still take 4 of the 7 regularly everyday, just not at the higher dosage that I did back then. These are Alpha Lipoic Acid (a super antioxidant), Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acid (as mentioned above), Ubiquinol CoQ10 (as mentioned above), and Vitamin D3 (another critical antioxidant).

I would like to finish this comment with a bit of advice my doctor told me. CoQ10 is fantastic for what it does to the heart, your gums and other organs of the body from a cellular level. When combined with Alpha Lipoic Acid it’s not only a one-two punch in antioxidant protection but it also acts as an anti-aging formula. Because our bodies do not make as much of either when we get above 40 years old, supplementation is vital and Ubiquinol CoQ10 is better than plain CoQ10.

    • Hey Robert; thank you for your comment. I know that there are supplements that reduce cancer cells to zero. I also know of many plants that cure cancer. Believe it or not, as many people won’t. I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at the Vet/animal doctor on one of my dogs.

Who had cancer without any kind of help. Finally, the doctor told me there was nothing more that she could do for my dog ‘Butcher’ because she cannot apply any more chemotherapy to her.

She gave me fourteen days of treatment for her and said she hopes that should stop her bleeding. The doctor called me every day for those fourteen days. There was no change. She could not perform surgy at the stage the dog was at I might have to put her down.

I thought hard about the suggestion; then later that day as Butcher looked at me in deep pain a thought came to me and I acted immediately on it. There is a plant I had recently found. I should give the dog to drink. The third day after I began to feed it to her.

I notice the blood was not as bright as before, the fifth day the swelling was visibly decreasing while the bleeding was not as strong. On my own, I treated butcher with that plant and stop just as I was inspired to do. That was 2015 My butcher is cancer-free alive and well today. 2020 Thanks again for your inspiring comment
