  1. I think banana is a super food that is best consumed in the morning to kickstart your day. I have mine for almost every breakfast and I like to mix them into my cereals. It helps to keep my energy up until the lunch hours. Sometimes, I like to carry them as snacks so that I don’t chew so much of the unhealthy stuff. Go banana!

       When you consume a good measure of bothe green cooked bananas and yellow ripe bananas you have no need to worry about your energy level nor added belly fat.

I have always loved my bananas on the green side way better than ripe bananas, except when making banana bread.  Otherwise, I do love some green in my bananas.  What is the benefit of boiling them, though?  I always thought if you boiled food it robbed the nutrition?  I’ve never actually eaten a cooked banana except in banana bread.  I’ve had plantains but fried, which of course contain that fat you talked about.  I knew bananas were good for you, but wow, they are like a superfood.  Great article.  Thanks for the great information.

    • Hi Babsie; thanks for commenting. It is the Ripe bananas that is used to make Bread. The gren Bananas is bake into pudding, Processed and tye into its leaves and cook as Tye-a Leaf otherwise called Blue draws. 

      Green Bananas super delicious when boiled and serve It is great for breakfast. If you can get the fresh green bananas you should try boil some and serve it with your favourit meat fish or cooked green leafy vegetable. Remember to bring water into a boil before you place the green bananas in

  3. I am so happy to read how bananas are very nutritious and has so many health benefits, especially as a good source of potassium. Because I really love bananas I make sure I eat at least one ripe banana everyday. I also sometimes boil or steam them and they make a really delicious afternoon snack. But eating it green? It never occurred to me to boil green bananas. But now that I know about this, I will give it a try.

    By the way, I know that not all varieties of bananas are good to eat when boiled, only a few are because they tend to become too soft after boiling. What about when boiling them green, will any variety be okay? 

    One more thing, while banana is a powerful food, I was told that people who are trying to lose weight and those who are diabetic should avoid it because of its high sugar and carbs content. What do you say?

Boiled green bananas is top of the list, when properly done.I should let you know thaat green Bananas alsois good for baking Pudding and “Tye-a Leaf” other wise called ‘Blue draws’ The yellow ripe Bananas bake an excellent Bread.

      There are anumber of banana spechie’s that I had not used. Some of them I do not know their names. However, the popular ones that I have eaten they are all good to boil fry rost, bake or you name it, they are good.

       Could it be the Ripe ones you are refering about? All spechie of banana can be boiled. Eating Boiled green Bananas will assist in reducing belly fat, because of it’s Fiber content. Bananas also is good to be eaten by diabetics because its resistant Starch and Fiber contents
